Overview
OpenSea is the largest non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace. One of the first marketplaces to make buying, selling, and creating your NFTs user-friendly. I worked with OpenSea designers and engineers to define a design system that scales and adapts to their quickly changing needs, and newest features. I also created documentation to educate about design system use and communicate design decisions.
I did an audit of their website in order to indentify components and inconsistencies.
After identifying the color and typography used throughout their product, I was able to simplify their typescale and change their colors for better use in specific roles.
Challenges
Results
Working with the UX design team and the Director of Design, we were successful in putting together a set of guidelines and documentation, a Figma design library that was up-to-date and available to the entire design team, and an updated token system from the ground up to allow for growth, flexibility, and theming. We were also able to implement these improvements to the system while continuing to add new features and make improvements to the currently available set of components.
Using these new values, I was able to create new versions of their components and documentaiton in Figma.
I was able to provide specs and alternate options based on device size.
Ultimately being able to recreate any page on their site using only Figma components.
